sadly after 13 years abbie has decided to call it a day on face to face.she's lost interest in it and she feels the gigs airn't what they used to be,plus,she doesn't have the time now to chase gigs along with her work and family.the good news is that she will carry on singing in the bernie watts band and just turn up to the gigs and sing without the the pressure of the gig on her shoulders.all face to face gigs are now solo band gigs .

"stop press!"-the'stranglers band' now want the 'police squad' to headline the quarter house gig in folkestone! the stranglers band and 'blondie' will support us.the gig-sat 15th sept. 12 pounds on the door-evening (time to be confirmed).

drum lesson prices-hour-22 pounds .in the event of a cancellation,please give 24 hours notice or you shall have to pay for your lesson.this is to keep current prices the same each week for as long as possible.

re-recordings of songs 'peace'/'what thea said'/'state of mind'/'behind blue eyes'/'electra glide in blue' (part 0ne)/'purple ribbon' are to be done maybe at the end of the year as an e.p. entitled 'revisitations' (please note 'doctor who' fans!) 'peace' has actually been re-recorded.the reason being that in the case of 'peace' i never realised that the piace was written for two or even three guitars in harmony (or i forgot...?) other recordings are eather rip offs of others and to make them more 'original'.'electra glide' has original lyrics and melody but the music is taken from an oasis song but there bridge is a rip off of the beatles 'golden slumbers' (i read that mcCartney took that from a hyme!) so it can get confusing! (of coarse 'oasis' and paul mcartney havn't changed there credits....) other recordings are distorted and can be done better.

.there are several tapes of 'live' recordings of 'mental floss' which feature bob and others that i would still like to put out.the demo's ive made will still arrive probably on solo cd but for now i feel free and want to enjoy life.ive already done a few recordings with simon, jay,jan including 'sucker punch' ,'pirate girl'(unfound door) -'red hot tuna'-which has

some harmonica from jan.i'm hoping to record a double album with

about 20 tracks a few covers from the 'bernie watts band' a few more tracks i'm working on with jay some old songs ive written with simon,,jans on harmonica and will sing a couple of numbers as will melle butler and abbie johnson.i'm also going to attempt to record the longest track known to man! and i want to record a rock ' n' roll covers album and a 'doctor who' themed album entitled 'romana II'(or 'romana who').but theres no rush it will take time! and theres only so many cds you can sell to students/punters in a year! larry klatsko has also mentioned filming some 'live' performances in and around saltwood castle (not the pub!) and the saga complex in sandgate and the ampitheatre in folkestone on a dvd to be included with the album.this probably won't happen until the summer,2012.

'bwb' (bernie watts band)-

'bwb' have been in existence for just over three years and play a classic mixture of 60's to 70's rock covers from 'the who','rolling stones' and 'kinks' through to 'led zeppelin','fleetwood mac' and 'pink floyd'.they also play some more diverse covers by the likes of 'oasis' and 'abba'! . the band also like to put in a couple of there own compositions.

the band consists of bernie watts-drums,percussion,vocals, acoustic guitar.(police squad/monsters of rock/ex.face to face)/abbie johnson-vocals (one time front person to 'face to face')/j sands-bass/vocals/harmonica/acoustic guitar (ex.double identity)/richard kilner-guitar/vocals (who runs the very successful 'canterbury sound studio').
